My apologies for the absence of posts for the last couple months. The heart-breaking loss to Wisconsin + a busy life sidelined me for a long time. Xavier basketball will rise again! 4 months until Musketeer Madness at Cintas Center! More to come...

Xavier handled 15-seed Weber State without much trouble Friday. Wisconsin edged out PIttsburgh 47-43 in Round 1 (lowest scoring NCAA Tourney game since 1999) and will face X on Sunday.
Wisconsin played Duke for the National Championship last year and they return a few players from that great team. Should be a formidable opponent for the Muskies but if X plays their "A" game, they should get out alive. Look for the veteran Muskies to step up again!
GOTTA GET IT! LET'S GO MUSKIES!!!

The Muskies did not end the Big East tournament the way they would've liked but that's behind us now as the field is set and the Big Dance is starting Thursday afternoon!
Xavier landed a #2 seed, the highest seed in school history. They're in the tough, but winnable East region. #2 Xavier plays #15 Weber State in St. Louis. Wisconsin, who played in the National Championship game last year, could be who X faces should they win Friday. UNC, UK, Indiana, and West Virginia are all potential opponents should the Muskies advance a couple rounds.
GET CRAZY PEOPLE! LET'S GO MUSKIES!!!

Saturday is Senior Day. It's also time for REVENGE against the Creighton Bluejays!
Congrats to Remy Abel and James Farr on their upcoming graduation. Remy transferred in from Indiana and has been a great defender and big part of the team the last 2 seasons. James has gone from a Freshman who sat on the bench 99% of the season to "BIG GAME JAMES" his Senior year this year. He's been ranked as the best statistical rebounder in ALL of college basketball when looking at rebounding efficiency stats. He's just been an absolute animal this year and has shown huge improvements each year at Xavier. He's really a great example of what a Xavier basketball player is and has been over the last couple decades.
Win or loss, Xavier will be the 2 seed in the Big East Conference tourney next week. A win is certainly needed though to keep pace as a potential 1 or 2 seed in the Big Dance in a couple weeks! Let's Go Muskies!
